GLOUCESTERSHIRE BEREAVEMENT FORUM

The Gloucestershire Bereavement Forum is an informal community group founded by myself in 2016. 

​

Having personal experiences of bereavement and working in and managing a number of bereavement services in Gloucestershire I am passionate about developing bereavement services for the people of Gloucestershire. 

​

The forum brings together people who have an interest in pre and post bereavement services in Gloucestershire to promote and develop a collaborative approach to supporting bereaved people, of any age, in Gloucestershire.

​

The aims of the forum are: 

​

• To improve bereavement services and the access of bereavement services for bereaved people of all ages, in Gloucestershire, through the sharing of good practice and signposting opportunities.

​

• To promote openness around death and dying and to promote the range of bereavement services available throughout Gloucestershire.

​

• To identify any needs of bereaved children, young people and adults in Gloucestershire that are not being met through current bereavement services.

• To share relevant training and professional development opportunities which will increase the knowledge and skills of those supporting bereaved children, young people and adults in Gloucestershire.

​

The forum meets online on a quarterly basis.
